THE HF AWARDS

1) Best HF Operator Award. For any outstanding operating on HF, eg. Net control, emergency etc.

2) Best HF DX Operator Award  CW Only. Highest points.

3) Best HF DX Operator Award  SSB Only. Highest points.

GENERAL CONDITIONS.

1) These three awards are only available to members of the Pretoria Amateur Radio Club.
2) Each DX contact (SSB or CW) on all permissible HF bands will score 1 point per country on each band
3) Contacts are only valid with countries on the ARRL DXCC LIST.
4) Log Books to show QSOs ONLY between January 1st and December 31st of the previous year and will be accepted at the January Club meeting for evaluation.
5) Log Books to show at least 100 days of HF operation. (operating only a few days of contests will not be valid). In the event of two logs reflecting similar scores the log with the higher number of operating DAYS will be given the benefit.
6) UTC (GMT), CALL, COUNTRY, RST, and Frequency or Band, MUST be recorded in log, (as usual). Photocopies or computer printout copies will be acceptable, if legible.
7) A summary sheet MUST be included with applications indicating a) Total countries worked on each band. b) Total number of days worked. c) Total points claimed.
8) NO QSL cards are required for this award (the Honour rule applies).
9) The logs submitted will be evaluated by a sub-committee appointed by the Awards Custodian of the Pretoria AR Club.

Their decision will be FINAL and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.

10) AWARD 1) Best HF Operator will be decided on merit by the sub-committee and members can submit nominations for this award.
11) The closing time/date for submission of entries will be the January Club meeting.
